Baby’s first Christmas

“I want to buy a camcorder as a family Christmas gift for baby.” One night, when I was nursing DD, M suddenly said. Without even thinking, my question blurted out “how much is a camcorder?” “I don’t know”, M said, “But how long do you want to wait?” That is a good question! How long [...]

Baby training, month 5

The development of a baby proceeds in a head to foot direction. At this age, as other typical five-month-old, DD was full of curiosity about her surroundings and was eager to figure it out. Baby growing, month 5

During month five, DD’s fingers continued to get more and more dextrose. She wanted to grab anything that was in her reach. She was amazed by shadow and sparkling light. The frequency of her bowl movements slowed down. She began to stay late at night. And solid food was added to help her sleep longer at night.

This year’s Thanksgiving – 2008

For the year 2008, I thank God for blessing me a healthy, strong, smart and beautiful baby, just as I prayed for.

I thank M for giving me love, support and help. I am grateful for his tolerance of my rough cooking, unreasonable weeping, and erratic postpartum temper.

I thank Grandma for giving me free rides to the hospital and tips about caring for baby.

I thank friends and others. I thank my little angel. Her arrival and her presence bought, and will continue to bring, joy and hope into my life, as well as strength to strive for a better future!

Baby training: month 4

The development of a baby proceeds in a head to foot direction. At this age, as other typical four-month-old, DD could lift her head up and hold it steady while lying on stomach. She could also raise her chest and support it with her arms. Her fingers were getting more and more dextrose. She began [...]
