“I want to buy a camcorder as a family Christmas gift for baby.” One night, when I was nursing DD, M suddenly said.
Without even thinking, my question blurted out “how much is a camcorder?”
“I don’t know”, M said, “But how long do you want to wait?”
That is a good question! How long do I want to wait before those precious moments are gone, never to return? The price of the camcorder will keep coming down, but my baby will never be three days, or three weeks, or three months old again.
DD is the cutest child I have ever seen (if I am not biased). I want to record every fun time and milestones in her life (if it is possible), like nursing time, napping time, playing time, tummy time, bath time, cereal time, and etc. Because of my hesitation, we already missed DD’s first couple of months. Hopefully, it is still not too late to catch up with her growth.
“Ok,” I said, “It is a good idea.”
