Sometimes mamas feel pain during letdown. It's common and goes away after a couple weeks, so hang in there!! If you are experiencing pain during the entire feeding, check with a lactation consultant who can help ensure the baby has a good latch. i almost gave up because it was painful, but after 2 weeks things were much better and by 6 weeks I barely knew she was even nursing unless I looked at her to make sure she was still latched on! At 2 she is still nursing at bedtime (but not to sleep).
