Now you know how to say vegetables and fruits starting with the letter b (see How to say bell pepper, broccoli, banana and blueberry in Chinese?), which vegetables and fruits start with c? Here they come, carrot, cauliflower, cantaloupe and cherry.

You cannot eat too much vegetables and fruits, especially carrots. Carrots are low in saturated fat and cholesterol while high in dietary fiber and vitamins (A, B6, C, and K). Carrots are also a very good source of potassium, thiamin, niacin, folate and manganese.

These nutritional values and health benefits make carrots ideal for curing a lot of diseases, especially eye disorders and constipation. I fed DD carrots since she was 7th month (see Get children eat vegetables: Carrot & sweet potato mix). And I made her a chicken pot pie with fresh carrots (for children of 12 months +) when she was 12 months old. Until this day carrot is still one of her favorite vegetables.
