Contemporary Chinese - Textbook 2 (Chinese/English)

Contemporary Chinese is a series of textbooks, teacher’s books, exercise books, character books as well as matching CDs. These Chinese learning materials are designed especially for English-speakers who are learning Chinese, by China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.

The ultimate goal of this series is to develop the learner’s ability to comprehend and communicate in the Chinese language. Specifically, it provides training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese.

Textbooks (Vols.1-4): The textbook series consists of instructions on vocabulary, notes, grammar, and cultural background. The instrucitons, given in both simplified and traditional characters, also include pinyin and English translations.
